The Family Wealth Advisor will work closely with the retiring Advisor to take over the client relationships. Upon offboarding of the retiring advisor, the Family Wealth Advisor will be responsible for maintaining all aspects of the client relationship. The Family Wealth Advisor will work closely with the Portfolio Manager and the Portfolio Administrator that will be responsible for the administration of the client accounts. The Family Wealth Advisor must have excellent people skills and is client-service centric with the ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize work.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management

• Partner with our retiring family wealth advisors to develop relationships with their clients as part of their succession planning process
• Facilitate the seamless transition of clients from retiring financial advisors.
• Review client portfolios and understand their financial goals and needs.
• Ensure that there is continuity in the level of service clients receive. Maintain consistent communication, follow up on action items, and provide timely updates on their portfolios.
• Understand clients' financial situations, risk tolerance, and long-term objectives.
• Maintain a high level of client service and effectively resolve/escalate client issues as required
• Identify opportunities for business growth and expansion within existing client relationships.
• Complete and review the financial plans to ensure they are following the roadmap as agreed upon and adjust accordingly.
• Follow the established Bellwether Way process for consistency and to enhance the client experience.

Qualifications:

• Must be currently registered as an AAR
• Must have Life and Accident & Sickness Insurance License
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite, CRM software, portfolio management and accounting software
• Knowledge and application of AML procedures. Past training an asset
• Other industry or college courses in financial services or investment management would be an asset
• Collaborative spirit and comfortable working both in a team environment & on individually assigned tasks
• Quick learner with a thirst for knowledge who excels in a fast paced, quick-change environment
• Post-Secondary education in business is an asset but not a requirement.

Working conditions:

• This is a hybrid role which will report into our Oakville office at least 3 days/week.
• Some travel is required in this role to attend client meetings.
